Blackberry 8800 Impresses

Blackberry 8800 ReviewResearch In Motion has released the Blackberry 8800 which is very impressive. I have been using this device at work for a few weeks now and after getting used to the front trackball I am very impressed. The screen is crisp and the look is very stylish similar to the

Pearl, but it has more bulk to it making it more comfortable to use.  The full keyboard is the same one you have become used to from previous models.  The additional built-in GPS works well, but for an extra $10 per month to use it you will need to decide if it is worth the fee.   The voice activated dialing easily picks up what you are saying, but if you have a large address book it will get confused.

The BlackBerry® 8800 is packed with incredible new features, such as GPS, BlackBerry Maps, a multi-media player, expandable memory, Voice-Activated Dialing and the trackball navigation. It doesn’t compromise on core BlackBerry functionality though. It also offers email and text messaging (SMS and MMS), instant messaging, organizer, web browser and advanced phone features.

The 8800 is available through Cingular/AT&T so if you are ready for an upgrade to your current PDA and want to make your friends jealous this is the one for you.  However, if you enjoy playing Brick Breaker to waste time when you should be working the trackball makes it very tough!
